Hawaii Denies It Issued Obama’s 2007 COLB
For those of you who have been following this story, the name of Dr. Ron Polarik, Ph.D., is quite familiar. Dr. Polarik is a computer image expert, specializing in legal document verification. He was one of the first experts to show, elaborately, that the document that Obama had posted on his fightthesmears site was a photo-shopped forgery.
He said that, according to Polarik.townhall, he called Dr. Alvin Onaka, the Hawaii State Registrar and Head of the Office of Health Status Monitoring (OSHM), and asked various technical questions relating to the COLB document, like borders, pixels, seals, etc., Polarik “asked him if Janice Okubo had confirmed that his office produced a 2007 Certification of Live Birth, date-stamped June 6, 2007, with Obama’s birth information on it, and he quickly replied: “Absolutely not. No one in our office confirmed it.”
A lot of people are quoting: “It’s a valid Hawaii state birth certificate, ‘ spokesman Janice Okubo told us.” However, Polarik notes that it’s not a question whether it’s valid, but whether it’s real, and Polarik also said that only a paper certificate could be judged as “real”. Furthermore, Ms. Okubo, Communications Officer, stated that the State of Hawaii “does not issue COLB’s electronically.” Polarik said “as forensic document examiner, Sandra Lines, noted, the only way to tell if a document is authentic is to examine the actual paper document, and not an image of it.”
When Dr. Fukino stated that “Hawaii has his birth certificate”, she did not say that it was the same as the image on the website, and, since Dr. Onaka said that his office of Vital Statistics did not confirm it (the 2007 COLB), the infamous COLB is most likely a forgery.
