McCaskill: Just Waking Up?
I was surprised that Senator McCaskill objected to the recent Obama firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin, because she had authored a bill previously that required a 30 day notice to Congress prior to termination. However, she did release a statement on her Official Government website, expressing disappointment that the Administration did not follow protocol in Walpin’s termination. The White House has attempted to smear Walpin’s behavior, but he has been on national TV, and does not appear to be disoriented, or senile, even though he is 75 y.o. In fact, Glenn Beck administered a “senility check” on him on his show. Definitely with it. Fox News also noted that “just days before Walpin got the boot, the White House announced Michelle Obama’s chief of staff (Jackie Norris) would be appointed senior adviser to the agency Walpin was responsible for monitoring.
Now, the reason that I express surprise is that McCaskill was one of Obama’s chief allies in his takeover of the White House. In Spring of 2008, in order to deflect any concern about Obama’s citizenship, or lack of thereof, according to World Daily Net “On April 10 of last year, two senators, both Democrats, Patrick Leahy of Vermont and Claire McCaskill of Missouri, introduced a resolution into upper house expressing a sense of the Senate that McCain was indeed a “natural born citizen.”
This is the result: “”My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff responded – again underlining the fact that both parents would need to be citizens. And what did Leahy say to that? “That is mine, too.” Now, think about it. Obama’s own website states that Obama’s father was a British subject and therefore, Obama was born British. The Senate never investigated him hoping that the media would play along. And play along it did.
So, it seems that she initially thought that he was an okay guy. In an interview with Bill Maher in February 2008, according to Raw Story, Senator McCaskill admitted that she let her 18 year old daughter convince her to support Obama, by calling Claire a “slug”. It looks like she’s just realizing who he really is: a Trojan horse.
