Obama’s “Dealer-Gate”
Representative Ted Poe (R-Tx) is here speaking out, finally, about what is becoming known as “Obama’s dealer-gate.” A study has been going on for some weeks now, comparing the 789 dealerships that have been closed with the list of the relevant campaign contributions. Even profitable dealerships have been closed, and it appears that Chrysler, or, apparently the “Car Czar”, Steven Rattner, is planning on opening new dealerships.
Here, Rep. Poe (R-Tx) states that the lists resembles Nixon’s “hit list.” According to Chelsea Shilling, WND: The listed franchise owners contributed at least $450,000 to Republican presidential candidates and the GOP, while only $7,970 was donated to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign and $2,200 was given to Sen. John Edwards’ campaign.”
Nate Silver and Keith Olberman, inadvertantly tried calculating the statistics of the closings but omitted the most relevant data, namely, “what was the ratio of GOP-to-Democrat donations for the dealerships that were closed by Obama and his minions? According to Doug Ross at Director Blue, when he did his calculations he found “the ratio of donations for dealers that were shuttered was 42 to 1, GOP to Democrat.”
