Obama White House: Bah Humbug!

cryingkid.jpg

First impressions are lasting ones, and when these five year old kindergarten kids from Conway Elementary, Stafford County, Virginia, got up early to go visit the White House on a  field trip, their teachers and parents probably had them primed for an historical moment. They were ten minutes late, due to heavy D.C. traffic, so, they were locked out, according to Anne Reynolds NBC.  Some say Obama called security himself for the lockout.

Seems that Barry had more important things to do than meet with five and six year olds, like the Pittsburgh Steelers and a photo-op getting a number 44 Steelers’ shirt. Meanwhile, the babies were crying. While it is true that “the Steelers and the Obama administration used their time together to create 3,000 care packages for U.S. troops as part of a Wounded Warriors initiative” some consideration could have been shown for the children, like cutting the tour 10 minutes. Of course, the White House made up a story right away, pinning the blame on the school, and saying it was not 10, but 70 minutes late. (The trip had been planned for months, and the children had been screened for security.) Sorry, but we’ve heard those stories before, and the Obama White House lacks credibility. Put this together with Barry dissing the D.C. School Voucher program, and you will figure out where his priorities are, according to Peter Roof, US News.

Now Barry may want to say, “it wasn’t my fault”, and someone will have to fall on their sword, as happened in the the Air Farce One Episode. But, like Harry Truman said: “the buck stops here.” That’s what an Executive does. Barry, a community organizer and photo-op fanatic, however, has still to learn the requisites of being an executive. Seems to me if he spent a little time reviewing the White House daily schedule in the morning, he would save himself a lot of embarrassment. After all, it’s been over 100 days that we’ve given him to have “on the job training”, and it’s getting just a little weary. As the saying goes “the Head Honcho sets the tone for the organization”, and it smells.
