Fortunately for Captain Philips of Maersk Alabama, our military and naval strengths have not yet been dismantled by “the One.” However, after Captain Philips was rescued by our Navy Seals, Obama did take the opportunity to talk a little about the “war on Privacy” there. Seems he must be confused, because the Department of Justice is now dismantling US citizens privacy rights via FISA. Apparently, he didn’t waste too much time worrying about Captain Philips, as was reported last week, when he brushed off reporters asking about the hostage situation and told them, he was busy with the mortgage mess.

Obama did give his blessing to the new President of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, because he considered him a “moderate Muslim,” when he was elected January 31, 2009. Previously, Ahmed had been a member of the Islamic Court, but that was recently re-organized into Al-Shabaab, which is the same group that fired on the plane of US Representative Donald Payne this weekend, as he was leaving the Horn of Africa.. Ahmed and his group have organized “terror training groups and have close connections to Al-Queda,” according to Bill Roggio. Moderate Muslims?

According to BBC, “Most Somalis insist that al-Shabab does not represent traditional interpretations of Islam,” but Al-Shabaab has implemented Sharia law and already, “in Shabab-controlled Kismayo a young girl accused of adultery was stoned to death - in fact she had been raped.” So this is what Obama calls “moderate?”
