Too Much Sympathy for Terrorists?

I remember that during the Second World War, the Japanese citizens were rounded up and transported to camps for the duration of the war. Now, while I’m not suggesting that we should round up all the Muslims in the US, since we are at war with al-Queda, it seems a little incongruent that there is actually an Al-Queda magazine being published right here in North Carolina. According to Robert Spencer, there is a magazine called “Jihad Recollections” published by Samir Khan. Now, I’m all for free speech, but this particular magazine seems to glorify the Jihad and creates sympathy for jihadists.

A while back I also reported that the Chinese Uigyhar terrorists being released from Gitmo would be receiving US assistance to get “started in America.” We have also heard of Americans joining Al-Queda, and fighting their own country and wanting to die for the Jihad. According to The Jawa Report, the magazine” includes two English feature length articles by al Qaeda’s #1 and #2: Four Practical Steps to Expand the Global Jihad, by Osama bin Laden, and Have We Forgotten Who Is America?, by Ayman al-Zawahiri and Nasir al-Fahd…(another one called) Principles of Guerrilla Warfare. “

Up in Missouri, State Troopers have been advised by Governor Jay Nixon, according to Blog catalog to be on the lookout for Ron Paul supporters, pro-lifers and other conservatives, because they might be terrorists. A motorist, Chip Henderson in Oklahoma with a bumper sticker that said “Abort Obama, not The Unborn” was pulled over by the police and his home searched by homeland security. These sort of things never happened under the Bush administration. So, I wonder, since we’re at war with Al-Queda, might not be in our national interest to muffle this a bit? What do you think?
