I thought we had a sophisticated State Department, but it seems that when the Obama’s are traveling on an important International visit, there should be some research about the appropriate manners and, so forth, to observe in the presence of the Royalty. As they say, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” Apparently, Obama hasn’t made use of the facilities available to him, or simply chooses to ignore diplomatic protocol.

I have heard of many state visitors to the Queen who have had the graciousness to observe the simple protocol in the presence of the Queen. However, Michelle forgot to curtsy, according to Daily Mail UK, and then broke another protocol by giving her a hug. Barry, on the other hand was supposed to give her a deep head nod, but instead gave her a two-handed shake, as if he were on the campaign trail.

Also, since he’s so sensitive to “wealth redistribution”, I wonder if he is aware that Apple IPODs are made in China by slaves who work for about 27 pounds/month and live 100 to a dormitory, according to Legal Insurrection. BTW, he uploaded his Inaugural address and Inauguration picture and his 2004 speech to the IPOD he gave her. I guess he thinks the Queen is one of his fans.
