Another Ivy League Legislator Who Doesn’t Know the Constitution
Neil Cavuto is someone I have a lot of respect for. Even when he disagrees with someone, he is usually very respectful. And that didn’t change Tuesday night, when he interviewed Florida Congressman Alan Grayson, who sponsored the “Pay for Performance Act of 2009″. Barney Frank is trying to ram it through the House Financial Committee. It would give “Toxic” Tim Geithner unprecedented power to adjust the pay of any employee who works for a company that might have received government assistance, even retroactively. Neil asked some respectful questions of the Congressman who has both a Masters and Bachelor’s from Harvard.
The Congressman did not respond to the questions with any kind of accuracy and also seemed to be completely oblivious of the unconstitutional nature of the law that he is proposing. But, then, why I am I surprised? Obama is a Harvard Grad who also feels that “the constitution didn’t go far enough.” He is wide open to reinterpreting the Constitution.
Another consequence of this legislation, of course, is that it would, according to WizBangBlog, drive any of those companies receiving assistance completely out of business, because the brightest and smartest would go work somewhere else.
The only thing the Congressman had to say was that Neil was being rude. But Mussolini probably said the same thing to anyone who questioned him too. In all fairness to the Congressman, he does represent the 8th District of Florida, which is Disney World. So, perhaps, he thinks all Americans are name Mickey Mouse.
