As has been reported, many Catholics are upset that the most pro-abortion and pro-infanticide President ever will be receiving an honorary degree when he delivers the commencement speech at Notre Dame on May 17th.

According to Life Site News, former Vatican ambassador Mary Ann Glendon “announced that she has decided to refuse Notre Dame’s Laetare Medal” because of the scandal. It is the highest award given from Notre Dame. Additionally, estates and doors have revised their wills to exclude giving to Notre Dame, and a conservative estimate is that it will result in at least 8.2 million dollars being withheld by Catholics who are upset by the University’s decision.
Obviously, these Catholics are even more convinced of the inappropriateness of Notre Dame conferring an honorary degree due to his recent action at Georgetown University, when he spoke in front of an “IHS” that was draped during his speech. IHS is, of course an ancient symbol of Christ. The university’s charter states: “The essential character of the University as a Catholic institution of higher learning shall at all times be maintained, it being the stated intention and desire of the present Fellows of the University that the University shall retain in perpetuity its identity as such an institution.”

In fact the graduates of Notre Dame have a website called Replace Jenkins.com, which refers to Father John Jenkins, the President of Notre Dame who invited the President. These graduates feel that the invitation “directly violates the 2004 US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ directive on Catholics in Political Life and is offensive to all Catholics. That decision, together with other poor decisions over the years, calls into question Father Jenkins’ judgment and leadership.”

I might also add that Obama’s Executive Order for taxpayers to fund abortions worldwide also includes provisions that make it mandatory for all physicians to perform abortions and also states that it will withhold federal funding from Catholic hospitals that do not perform abortions.

I have also just received information that a petition signed by 300,000 on Notre Dame Scandal has been forwarded to the Papal Nuncio in Rome. As of 9 PM Wednesday night that number was 344,615.

Seems like there is a big difference between truth and reality for Al Gore. We have 30,000 scientists who have sued him for his “junk science.” Now we have him testifying in Congress at House Energy and Environment Subcommittee hearing on the Waxman-Markey Climate Bill and making up some very big tales.

Representative Marsha Blackburn (R-Tn) asked him if he had any conflicts of interest, since he is a partner in a firm that stands to make millions of profit from “green” businesses. He said that “every penny” that he makes goes to a non-profit, Alliance for Climate Protection, to heighten awareness of environmental practices that are conducive to Mother Earth.

However, according to Bloomberg.com, he has boosted his net worth from 2 million to 200 million since 2000, and would, according to Free Republic, he stands to make millions more as a “partner in Kleiner Perkins... (because) they have invested about a billion dollars in 40 companies that are going to benefit from cap-and-trade legislation.” (Blackburn)

“They (the fascists running our country) would not let Christopher Monckton (Lord Christopher Monckton, Third Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, is chief policy advisor to the Science and Public Policy Institute) speak counter-point to Gore’s erroneous assumptions that “global warming” is both man-made and catastrophic. The reason is that Monckton is way smarter than Gore and, arguably, the foremost expert in so-called “Climate change” along with Steve Milloy. He would have embarrassed Gore.”

It is a crime to lie to Congress, even if one is not under Oath. But it’s a Democratic Congress: they will never prosecute.

According to Dick Morris, former adviser to President Bill Clinton and Senator Trent Lott, “Team Obama” made a sleight of hand move this weekend hoping not to be noticed, behind the smokescreen of the Mexican Swine Flu. Initially, when the TARP (Troubled Asset Recovery Program) was created by the Bush administration, it did not call for any transfer of stock.

Now, the Administration is refusing to accept the loan money back from these 500 companies until they meet a “stress test”, that will supposedly predict whether they are strong enough now to withstand any further shocks. But how do you interpret that? Anyway they want. Now, when the TARP was created it was agreed that the government would receive “preferred stock”. Now Team Obama wants it to be “common stock”. “Preferred” means that these stockholders get the first crack at dividends, but only common stockholders can actually vote on company management or policy.”

According to Grizzly Groundswell, “Team Obama” will create a “Bubble Czar” that will squash anyone from making too much money on the Stock Market. This will also have a dampening effect on investing in new enterprises.

According to Larry Kudlow, the entrepreneur, or “Unternehmergeist” (fiery spirit), is at the epicenter of a thriving economy and there must be sufficient allowances in the economy for investors to take risks on “wild ideas.” (Joseph Schumpeter economist 1883-1950), Alan Greenspan’s teacher at Harvard. There is an old saying “No Risk, No Gain.”

Whoa! Sit down for this one… The Obama administration has filed a brief disputing the relevance or necessity of our closely guarded “Miranda Rights.” According to Mark Sherman AP, the Solicitor General Elena Kagan has requested that a murder confession obtained without providing these rights to Jose Monteja, an indigent man, should not be grounds for dismissing the case.

The Supreme Court decision in the 1986 Michigan vs Jackson case resulted in what is taken as ordinary procedure by every law enforcement agency in the country. The opinion was written by Justice John Paul Stevens who is still on the Supreme Court, 23 years later. It is considered that “the protection offered by the court in Stevens’ 1986 opinion is especially important for vulnerable defendants, including the mentally and developmentally disabled, addicts, juveniles and the poor.” This would, some believe, be particularly applicable to the Afro-American community, so, it is surprising to some that Obama would move to disenfranchise them. Basically, the decision states that information obtained without reading the suspect’s Rights and allowing the suspect to be interrogated without counsel present subjects many to an unfair advantage.

“The brief, signed by Solicitor General Elena Kagan, said the 1986 decision “serves no real purpose” and offers only “meager benefits.” It might be noted that although Ms Kagan was Dean of Harvard Law School and an armchair lawyer, without any courtroom experience and has never argued a case, even before the Supreme Court. without any courtroom experience, it would seem that Ms. Kagan may lack some considerable understanding of the real world and the effect of homelessness, mental disability, poverty and race in the conduction of an interrogation by sophisticated police officers. another interesting point is that Ms. Kagan was appointed Dean of Harvard Law School by Larry Summers, who is now Obama’s chief Economic adviser. And, I might add, a disastrous one for the nation.

Well, I for one am glad that she did. And, I think. she looks great. There’s nothing wrong with that. After all the big names in the business go through botox all the time. According to The Daily Mall, Ms. Boyle did take a little friendly advice and spruce up her image, as you can see above. I think it’s great. What about you?

Fast forward to 9/11 when our nation had to make some very important security decisions. The CIA decided to use “enhanced interrogation techniques” on Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) and Zubaydah. When they did so, in a limited way, in fact, according to John Kiriakou, in less than 35 seconds. they secured information that a second attack in Los Angeles had been planned and were able to foil that. So many lives were saved. According to Politico, “in 2002 four members of Congress were given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and were briefed on interrogation techniques. The bipartisan group, which included Pelosi, was specifically briefed on waterboarding. None of the four complained, and one of them asked if the methods being used were tough enough…if Congress had wanted to kill the program, all it had to do was withhold funding, which didn’t happen.“

Additionally,Rep. Peter Hoekstra said “Mr. Obama overruled the advice of his CIA director, Leon Panetta, and four prior CIA directors by releasing the details of the enhanced interrogation program. Former CIA director Michael Hayden has stated clearly that declassifying the memos will make it more difficult for the CIA to defend the nation.” Rep. Hoekstra also stated that we should have a commission to study the negative impact on our national security from releasing this information.

What was Donald Trump thinking when he selected Perez Hilton as a Judge? Was he trying to introduce the element of controversy? as an American, i would rather hope that the contestants to the title of Miss USA would be judged on their poise, talent, beauty, confidence and so on. That a deadbeat, misogynistic, homosexual like Hilton would have anything to do with a beauty pageant is ridiculous. I can think of so many other gay men who could have been judges, if Mr. Trump’s decision was based on a desire to be all-inclusive. According to Wired.com, Hilton is  Cuban-American whose real name is “Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr” and is an “online legend” whose celebrity site attracts a real beeline daily. However, his site is also known as Hollywood’s “most hated.” Possibly Mr. Trump was trying to bring controversy to the Pageant.
Obviously, Mr. Hilton has totally discredited himself since he went on youtube with a virulent attack against Ms. Prejean, whose answer did not correspond to his liking, after all, Mr. Hilton did ask her what “she thought.” As others have said, Donald Trump, the organizer of the beauty pageant, owes Ms. Prejean an apology and should also dismiss Mr. Hilton from any further involvement with the pageant. It’s a beauty contest, Perez, not a political debate. And, given the question, I think Ms. Prejean gave an honest answer, and I don’t think she was trying to be offensive. No offense, Perez, but maybe you should remember to take your meds before getting on a webcam.

Now, why would politicians want to misconstrue data? It’s been said, that, if a lie is repeated enough, people will believe it. Just ask any marketing expert, or politician. Unfortunately, it is becoming apparent to some Americans that every day we are facing challenges to our Civil Liberties, and there has been some discussion that our 2nd Amendment privileges are too dangerous for society and should be dismantled. Listen to this report of how the Democrats are juggling words to fit their agenda. As many of you know, subsequent to his election, there was a huge run on gun sales.

Of course, with his numerous ideological connections to Communism and Marxism, some Americans are paranoid about his intentions. On Tuesday, according to News.Yahoo, he signed the Youth Brigade Bill expanding the National Service Corps and has also requested to change the Military Officers’ Oath, so that Officers would take an Oath, not to uphold the Constitution, but to uphold the Office of the President. Additionally, Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has made matters worse by declaring conservatives “terrorists.” According to Gateway Pundit, ACORN will also receive funding, even though they are a partisan, political organization and are under investigation for fraud. No religious expression will be allowed though. It’s being called the Hitler Youth Brigade.

Seems like we’ve had enough of this Obama bashing…After all, he’s just starting out. and remember, we shouldn’t hold it against him that he doesn’t know much about American History or how to protect American lives. After all, he spent his formative years in a Muslim country, Indonesia. And, yeah, he didn’t really respond to that Pirate thing and Captain Philips. But, you know, maybe he was embarrassed because that ship was taking food supplies to the town he was born in, Mombasa, Kenya. So what if he thinks there are 57 States and that the Japs dropped the atomic Bomb on Pearl Harbor?

Can’t we all just get along? And this Latin Summit...do you think he knows who any of those guys are? or that he cares? do you think he spends his time reading the Most Wanted List? He probably thought Chavez was a Hare Krsna trying to sell him a book. And the picture here of him laughing it up with President Ortega who had just castigated the US in a 50 minute speech, according to Gateway Pundit, well, I guess Obama thought he was being “roasted” at Harvard. Just a joke.

Did they contribute to his campaign? That’s what’s important. And will they contribute to his next one? That, my friend, is the question he wants to know the answer to.. But whatever you do, don’t be a party-pooper. Especially Wednesday evenings you know…big night at the White House.

Now, I grew up listenign to Kate Smith, so I wasn’t totally shocked when I heard about Ms Boyle’s triumph on Britain’s Got Talent. However, when I received this in my “subscriptions” I thought it was a definite prank. If you’re not familiar with the song, it is a classic “blues” song written by Arthur Hamilton for Ella Fitzgerald in the 1920’s. However, he refused to make a few changes in the wording, so it wasn’t released until 1953 and recorded by Ms. Fitzgerald in 1961. I had a hard time believing that Ms. Boyle was singing this sultry blues classic.

However, according to The Daily Record, Ms Boyle was asked to make a CD for a charity in 1999 and they made exactly 1000 of them. So, the good news now is they’re worth a lot of money. The charity was for “The Millennium Celebration disc, which was partly funded by Whitburn Community Council, (and) was the brainchild of local newspaper editor Eddie Anderson.”

Ms. Boyle seems to be taking everything in stride and is considering appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show. So far, she’s said she’s not amenable to a makeover, but lets see if they can at least work on the eyebrows.
