Embryonic Stem Cell Research: Above His Pay-Grade?

I’m sure a lot of you remember the movie, “The Island”, that explored the cold realities of Medical Ethics sold out to the highest bidder. Clones were kept on an Island in case of a need by the donor for any organs. If you don’t remember, or if you have not read any science fiction about cloning, check this out Natural News.

Now, of course, we all have heard about the Executive Order wherein Obama authorized embryonic research, March 10, revoking the ban imposed by the Bush administration. Later he said that cloning “for reproductive purposes, however, would never be allowed.” However, in January 2005, State Senator Barack Obama was one of the sponsors of the STEM CELL RESEARCH ACT. However, cloning and then disposing of the embryo produced for research is another matter. The Act was called the “Clone and Kill Act.”

If you examine the STEM CELL RESEARCH ACT that he sponsored in 2005, you can find this: “An individual receiving fertility treatment shall have the option to choose among the available means of disposing of any human embryos remaining following the fertility treatment. These means may include storing the unused embryos, donating unused embryos to another individual, discarding the embryos, or donating the remaining embryos for research.”

Jill Stanek thinks that Obama was merely “parsing” his words when he said that stem cell research would never be used for cloning “for reproductive purposes.”  Ms. Stanek continues her analysis, as she has been observing Obama’s track record for years, since she is a former pediatric nurse, who became horrified by the medical practice of allowing the surviving aborted babies to die. She said in World Net daily that the Act basically states “Creating and implanting cloned human beings in uteri is unacceptable, but creating and experimenting on cloned homo sapiens in petri dishes is fine.” This opens up the whole area or cloning, otherwise known as “somatic cell nuclear transfer” in petri dishes for wealthy patients who need a closely matched donor organ. The act also allows for “reimbursement” of cadaveric tissue from aborted babies.

Dr. Alan Keyes, former presidential candidate, also has first hand knowledge of Obama’s track record when it came to “life” issues. Keyes said that Obama favors “infanticide.” There was a Bill called Born alive Infant Protection Act. Obama voted 4 times against this bill which was designed to give life support to babies who survived an abortion. Most senators, and even NARAL, approved the final text of the bill. Obama did not. This practice allows the delivery team to simply let the surviving baby of a botched abortion to “waste away.” Is there something evil about this man, or is it just “above his paygrade?
