The Myth of the “Moderate” Muslim
Muzzammil Hassan’s wife, Aasiya Hassan, conceived a new experiment, called Bridges TV, in 2004, that was going to be a way to show the world that there are, in fact, “moderate” Muslims. Her husband set out to make their dream come true, since he had an MBA and was a banker who had come from Pakistan 25 years ago. So, he drew up a Business Plan.
This TV network was mainly concerned with Muslims in America. According to Jihad Watch archives, Aasiya felt that she and her family were not like the jihadists that were being portrayed after 9/11.
According to Jihad Watch, however, she asked for a restraining order and filed for a divorce at the beginning of February, 2009, for reasons that haven’t been divulged yet. Obviously, there was some form of domestic violence occurring.
However, the restraining didn’t stop Muzzamil from getting to her, and, when he did, he beheaded her, then went to the Police office to report her death. This happened in Orchard Park, New York, according to Jihad Watch. If this were in England, he might have called upon Sharia Law to call it an honor killing. Already the death of two Said sisters by their father here in the U.S. has been downgraded from an “honor killing” due to Muslim community protest. What will happen to this gruesome murder on Friday the 13th?
Frankly, how can there be “moderate” Muslims, when the scripture itself calls for this kind of violence towards women and non-believers? Recently, Geert Wilders was invited to speak to British Parliament at the viewing of his film “Fitna” which documents the violence that is inherent in the Qu’ran. However, when he landed, British authorities refused him admission to Great Britain. As he indicated he hd been invited to speak at Parliament for the purpose of discussion and debate. So what happened to freedom of speech in England? According to Jihad Watch Lord Nazir Ahmed, a Muslim blocked his admission by saying that his presence would incite “racial hatred,” but it’s not like he was marching through the streets. He was going to have a discussion in Parliament, and he, himself is a Dutch-elected Parliamentarian. Strange that his name is “Nazir” Nazi? This is the “politically correct” atmosphere that we find ourselves, that does not allow one to call a spade a spade.
For those of you who think this an isolated incident, Pamela Geller has several examples worldwide.
- “The Myth of Global Warming” by Jim Hollingsworth - The Rational Argumentator
- Coca Cola. The myth, the power, the love, the extasy.
- Ape rights and the myth of animal equality
- Kate McCarthy, “Deliver Me from Nowhere: Bruce Springsteen and the Myth of the American Promised Land”
- The myth of incompatibility … and a solution to the worst of the format problems

It’s a good thing you’re not trying to generalize an entire culture. These two instances you’ve listed clearly prove that all Muslims are sadistic killers intent on destroying the American way of life.
After some embarrassing experiences on some other crazy blogs, I feel obligated to mention that my last post was sarcasm.
