Fiddler from Norway: Alexander Rybak (Astrology Notes)
The current semi-finals are going on in te many countries that will be competing in Moscow in May of this year for the Eurovision Song competition. One of Norway’s leading artists, Alexander Rybak is now competing in the semi-finals.He is a fiddler, vocalist and songwriter.
Let’s take a brief look at his astrology. I don’t have his time of birth, so I have rectified it to 9:00 PM, as that puts Saturn in the ascendant and also puts his Moon in the 1st “pada” of Purnavasyu nakshatra (Gemini-vedic). Of course, Saturn in the Ascendant (Scorpio-vedic) gives international fame. Jupiter and Mars are both aspecting the Moon, which is called Chandramangala Yoga. This confers managerial abilities on the native. Saturn and Venus are both very strongly placed in his chart; Saturn moving away from its exaltation point, and Venus in its own house, Taurus. So, since Venus is aspecting the ascendant directly from the 7th house, this gives him his musical talents.
He will be competing in the Norwegian finals with his song “Fairytale” against Ovi Martin, singing his song “Seven Seconds.” Ovi Martin, who is a pianist, vocalist and songwriter, competed in the 2006 Eurovision song competition with his song “The Better Side of Me.”
During 2009, however, Jupiter will be transiting Alexander’s 8th house of loss, so I would not expect him to make any major gains this year. Enjoy the fiddling though. We don’t get to hear this very often.
