There is not a lot of information about Jade, who will be representing England at the Eurovision Song 2009 Competition. However, I was able to locate a little information about her on Who Will win ESC.com. Both of her parents are handicapped, her father is Sicilian and blind and her Mother is Jamaican and blind in one eye.

She does hail from Plaistow, East London and was part of a girl band called Trinity Stone. According to Miacah Micalle, the three became acquainted on the “auditioning circuit.” In 2006, according to Melissa Tang the group was working with some of the top music producers in the industry, like Soulshock, Brian Rawlings, and Karlin. so, they were definitely headed for the big time. She’s not exactly a novice and has been on TV before. MySpace/Jade Ewen Here’s Trinity Stone (November 2007) Cherry, Jade and Azi “Move a Little Closer”.

Jade has been described as a UK Rihanna, and you can see that she does have an awesome stage presence and powerful voice. Andrew Lloyd Weber did make the final selection between her and the Emperor of Souls, and, since, he is the one writing the song, it may be a subjective decision on his part.
Here she is singing “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen.

I’m not one who follows much of what the stars do, and so seldom even know who someone’s talking about; but I have actually heard of her. I think it’s probably an age thing. My music was well back. Loved Motown, and not much since then with a side venture in country perhaps.

    Thanks for the visit,
    Sandy
