leonalewis.jpgOne of the truly great performers to emerge form the X Factor in Great Britain was the lovely Leona Lewis. Prior to becoming a major international star, she worked in the Pizza Hut. She was often criticized for being “too meek and not having enough confidence”, but Simon always said that he preferred someone like her because of her freshness.

Now, many become winners, but few are slated to become an international success. If you look at her astrology chart, you will not find the usual Kalasarpa Yoga that propels unknown people into stardom. It is somewhat modified. However, with an 11:30 PM birth (rectified), Saturn is in the ascendant and that does make for international fame.

Also, at the time of her triumph, she was just entering her 18 yr “Rahu” period, during which she will be compelled to reach her evolutionary potential. She was just at the end of her 7 yr Mars period when she won the X Factor competition. Mars and Rahu are together in the 6th house of “service.” She also has some very well disposed planets, like, Venus, Mars and Saturn. Simon was so impressed with Leona’s naturally good qualities and immense star potential, that he immediately bought her a 5 million dollar mansion in England and she was asked right away to come to the U.S. to tour (Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey).

I believe her first song “Bleeding Love” was at the top of the charts internationally for weeks. Clive Davis also signed her for a 5 million pound contract with his label “J” Records.
Here she is singing her new single “Run” first sung on the X Factor 11/15/08, which of course, Alexandra Burke went on to win. Leona won it in 2006.
