Indonesia and Obama’s secrets

Andy Martin over at Contrarian Commentary has weighed in on his opinion of the appointment of Leon Panetta as head of the CIA. He feels, and rightly so, I believe, that as we already have the POTUSA in “on the job training”, we don’t need someone like Mr. Panetta, who has no experience in security, no background and also going through a training period as well.

Andy pointed out that Joe Biden has already predicted that in the beginning of the Obama administration, there would be severe threats to the US. By appointing someone like Panetta, with no experience, Obama is putting the entire country at risk.

Then there is the appointment of Admiral Dennis Blair as the Director of National Intelligence. This must be a payback to the Indonesian government for its part in keeping the files about “Barry Soetoro” under cover. Blair was responsible for dodging direct commands from Bill Clinton and in assisting the President of Indonesia in its genocidal campaign in East Timor.

The same genocide is now going on against West Papua and the Obama team has sent a clear message that it will not intervene there because the Indonesia government is keeping Obama’s “secrets.” Basically, the Papuan tribesmen refuse to assimilate with the Indonesian Muslim culture, so they have been tortured, beaten and raped.

Of course, there is an economic component to the genocide and that is that the U.S.-based Freeport Mining Company is very attached to the largest goldmine in the world, according to John M. Miller. Also previous US administrations have favored Indonesia as well. There are only a handful of US senators who are aware of the human rights violations, and, as I said before, Obama’s appointment of Admiral Blair does not indicate any change. In fact, he is appeasing them.  One would expect more from Obama, since he grew up in Indonesia. However, he does have to keep his “secrets.”

I have been to West Papua and met the kind and friendly natives.
It is a crime of the highest level how they have been treated by the
    Indonesian government.
Unfortunately, without the help of the worlds major powers they have no chance of independance.
