Harry Reid: New George Wallace of the 21st Century?

In an amazing turn of events, apparently Senate Majority leader Harry Reid himself was caught on tape trying to convince Governor Blagojevich not to appoint a Black person for Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat. This conversation was just before the Governor’s arrest on December 9th.

According to Hillbuzz.wordpress.com this is the latest in the turn of events in the circus called Chicago. If this is true, the calls for Blagojevich’s impeachment would pale in comparison to what the Public would do to the likes of Harry Reid. Apparently, Harry doesn’t believe that a Black candidate would be able to hold onto the seat in 2010. However, at the rate the Democrats are going, it is highly unlikely that after all these Chicago scandals, and more to come, they would be able to keep any kind of majority in the Senate at all, as this racism will produce a considerable backlash.

According to this source, Harry wanted either Tammy Duckworth or Lisa Madigan to fill the seat and doesn’t seem to be promoting any Blacks in the senate whatsoever. If these allegations are true, this would make Harry Reid the new George Wallace of the 21st century. Most likely it seems that Bobby Rush had a very good idea about the whole scenario.

According to GatewayPundit.blogspot.com, Blagojevich spokesman Lucio Guerrero confirmed that both Harry Reid (D-AZ) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ) called to insist against Jesse Jackson Jr, Emil Jones or any Black appointees being appointed as they feared Republicans would take the seat in 2010.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, Harry does not have the constitutional power to refuse to “seat” Roland Burris, whom Governor Blagojevich appointed last week, using his gubernatorial powers to do so.

In fact Wednesday, January 7, 2009, “Senator” Roland Burris will go to the Senate and Harry Reid plans to use the Capitol Police to refuse him admittance. According to YidWithLid.blogspot.com, the Black Caucus is encouraging Mr. Reid to play “nice.”
