Global Warming Scam
Barnum T. Bailey said “there is a sucker born every minute.” Now, there have always been hucksters, in every century. Well, here we are again with the big Global warming Hoax of the 21st century.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the environment just like everyone else and animals too. Actually, I am a vegetarian, so I have probably less of a Carbon footprint than most. In a famous UN study, it was pointed out that livestock gases account for way more than automobile emissions. So the UN recommended that the vegetarian diet would decrease Global warming much more effectively than driving a hybrid car. It is this practice of raising livestock for meat that is the man culprit.
Now, many authors have forecast a variety of doomsday occurrences, according to Andrew Bolt, who has pointed out the top 10 duds.
What is even more amazing is that even though the predictions have not materialized, no one seems to be noticing. It must have something to do with human nature always feeling it has to be “on the edge” of catastrophe. Of course, these forecasters continue to sell their books and movies and even win Nobel Prizes. That is very odd, as you would think that someone in the Nobel Prize committee would have a little more insight. Last week, 30,000 scientists decided they’d had enough and sued Al Gore for fraud. Maybe that will stop him. But then again, he does have his First Amendment Rights.
I guess the lesson in all of this is that the Public has to become educated, otherwise, we become victims of the latest huckster. The evidence is there right in front of us, and, in some cases the weather has become even more severe, as in the case with the recent snowfall in the Las Vegas desert.
My sister’s masters studies work involves tracking ocean temperature changes, so I’ve seen the raw data first hand.
There’s no question of if the earth is warming up or not; it is. However the Why and the So Whats still need to be answered. We are currently exiting an ice age, so warming is to be expected, and this is where scientists start to disagree. While are we warming up or not is a cut and dry question, the question of are we warming up too fast is a bit more difficult to quantify.
No, I doubt we’ll have a huge calamity within my lifetime, but without sea ice and ice caps we are in for a huge problem. If the warming cycle is too accelerated, the natural bounce back of having less ice isn’t enough to send us back to another ice age, and the ice entirely melts. Once that happens there is nothing to stop all that solar energy from being absorbed by our ocean and there would be a large temperature spike.
Scientists tend to think in larger time scales than politicians and other citizens, especially climatologists. No climate change isn’t something to panic about and buy the stores out of canned goods, but it is something to keep an eye on.
On another note, in most areas hybrid cars ARE a major scam. If your electricity isn’t from a clean source, they actually cause more pollution than gas cars.
