I did a write-up of Alexandra Burke right after she won the X Factor, on December 14th, 2008 and I promised I would do her chart.

Well, of course she has her own official site now and wikipedia, so we at least have the exact birth date, August 28, 1988. However, the birth time is unknown, but I have rectified it to 12:02 AM, since that puts Venus in the Gemini Ascendant (vedic) and Saturn directly aspecting the Ascendant. This would explain her extraordinary beauty and her success abroad. Saturn aspecting the Ascendant, of course, leads to international fame.

She was born into a musical family, and her mother has already had her perform in Bahrain, and, I believe she sang on the phone to Stevie wonder. So, she’s not a newcomer to the music industry.

Of course, members of the music community are already extending invitations for her to come to the United States, since she won the X Factor. On the eve of her victory, of course, she performed “Listen” with Beyonce, and people thought they looked and acted like sisters.

One of the other reasons that I rectified the time to 12:02 AM, was that it brings the Moon into a favorable alignment with transiting Jupiter in Capricorn, (within 2 degrees) and it is is, of course, the planet of blessings.

Additionally, with this time, Alexandra would have just entered a favorable 18 year Rahu period. Fortunately, she has Rahu in its friend’s house Aquarius. As I have said before, during one’s Rahu period, one begins the manifestation of one’s evolutionary destiny.

She does have Mars and Saturn aspecting Venus in her Gemini Ascendant, and I believe she will also pursue an acting career. There are some difficult factors in her chart, namely, the Moon in the 8th house, which may have indicated her childhood separation from her traveling mother-superstar-Mother, Melissa Bell. Also, Jupiter, the ruler of her 7th (partnership) and 10th (career) house is in the 12th house of loss. Sometimes Jupiter also signifies father. That might explain the absence of her father in her early life.

So, here is a world class artist, coming from some early childhood difficulties. Result is extraordinary talent and humility: a rare combination.
Alexandra ’s recording of “Hallelujah” set a record for sales of 105,000 in the first 24 hours.
